FAQ

Do I need internet or a cellular signal?

No. Messages travel directly between devices over Bluetooth. It works in airplane mode (with Bluetooth on), on the subway, at festivals — anywhere without coverage.

Why don't I see my friend in "Nearby"?

Make sure both devices have Plane Picker open, Bluetooth turned on, the Bluetooth permission granted, and are within about 10 metres of each other. It can take a few seconds to appear.

How do I block or report someone?

Long-press a received message and choose Block (their messages stop arriving on your device) or Report (sends us an email about the message). Blocked people are listed under Settings → Blocked users.

Are my messages private?

Yes. Messages are end-to-end encrypted and never leave your devices — there is no server. See our Privacy Policy.

How do I delete my data?

Everything is on your device. Use “Reset identity” in Settings, or delete the app.
