Fridge Chef (냉장고 파먹기, the "App") is an iOS application that recommends recipes you can make from the ingredients in your fridge, drawn from Korea's public food-safety recipe database. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes, how it is used, and which third-party services it relies on.
1. Information We Process
The App can be used without creating an account. It processes only the following information.
- Recipe request input: the ingredients you enter, optional dietary filters and category, and your device locale. This is sent to our recommendation server to match recipes from the public recipe database. It is processed to return results and is not linked to your identity or used to build a profile.
- Pro "Adapt this recipe" input: only when you use the Pro AI feature, the selected recipe together with your ingredients and your note is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate an adapted version. Please avoid entering personal information in the free-form note.
- Local history and favorites: recipes you view and save are stored locally on your device using SwiftData. They are not uploaded to any server operated by us.
- Subscription status: in-app purchase entitlements (such as active subscription and expiration) are checked through Apple StoreKit and used locally on your device.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
- Directly identifying information such as name, email, or phone number.
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA) or ad tracking data.
- Location data.
- Contacts, photos, calendar, microphone, or other permission-gated data.
- Behavioral analytics or crash reports via third-party analytics SDKs.
Our recommendation server only matches recipes for the request and does not associate your inputs with an account or identity. The App includes no advertising or analytics SDKs.
3. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services. Please also review their privacy policies.
Google Gemini (AI)
The Pro "Adapt this recipe" feature sends the chosen recipe, your ingredients, and your note to Google's Gemini API to generate an adaptation. This happens only when you actively use that feature. The App is designed not to include directly identifying information in the request.

4. Data Retention and Deletion
- History and favorites are stored only on your device.
- Ingredient inputs sent to our recommendation server are used to compute results and are not stored against an identity.
- Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data along with it.
- Data transmitted to Google or Apple is governed by their respective policies.
5. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Changes and Contact
This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes to the service or applicable law. Material changes will be communicated through the App or this page.
